Commission Process

Check my Trello board for my commission queue. If the queue is full and I am currently not accepting new commissions, you may still contact me. However, I will not be able to start on your commission until a slot is available.

Once you've decided on a commission, please contact me with the details. I will provide you with a quote and a rough sketch. Once you've approved the sketch, I will start the final piece. You will receive a watermarked preview of the final piece. Once you've approved the final piece, you will receive the full resolution image.

Please have a visual reference of your character or idea ready. If you don't have one, please provide a detailed description.

My usual turnaround time is 1-2 weeks, but this may vary depending on the complexity of the commission and my current workload.

Copyright Ownership: All artwork created by JulianDough is © JulianDough, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Personal Use License: Clients are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the commissioned artwork for personal, non-commercial purposes only. This includes use on social media with proper credit, as avatars, or for printing for personal enjoyment.

Commercial Use: Any commercial use of the commissioned artwork, including but not limited to merchandise, promotional materials, or reselling, is strictly prohibited unless a separate commercial license is negotiated.

Resale and Redistribution: Redistribution, resale, or modification of the artwork is not permitted without explicit written consent from JulianDough.

Credit Requirements: When displaying the commissioned artwork online, clients must provide proper credit to JulianDough, linking back to the artist's website or social media profiles.

Alteration Policy: Clients may not alter the commissioned artwork without prior permission. This includes but is not limited to adding text, filters, or additional artwork.

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be provided under specific circumstances, such as the inability of the artist to complete the work or mutual agreement to terminate the commission. Deposits may be non-refundable.

Payment Terms: Full payment or a deposit is required before work on the commission begins. Payment is only accepted through PayPal.

Turnaround Time: Estimated turnaround time will be provided upon commission acceptance. Delays may occur due to complexity, workload, or unforeseen circumstances, and clients will be notified in such cases.

Rights to Display: JulianDough retains the right to display commissioned artwork in portfolios, social media, or promotional materials unless a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is requested by the client.

Mature Content: Commissions involving mature or explicit content will only be accepted from clients aged 18 or older. Proof of age may be required.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law: All agreements and disputes will be governed by the laws of the United States of America, and any legal disputes will be resolved in the United States of America.

Amendments: JulianDough reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes that may affect ongoing commissions.
